Hi! I’m Sammi, the owner of Woof, Wash & Trim.

I’m based in Leighton Buzzard with my two Dachshunds, Maggie and Linda, and our three cats, Mandy, Steve and Wendy. I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs — from beagles and pugs to Leonbergers — and they’ve always been such a huge part of my life. Working with them every day genuinely makes me so happy.

HOW IT STARTED

When I was 15, I walked past a dog groomers and decided on a whim to pop in and ask if they needed a volunteer.

Every Saturday and throughout the school holidays, armed with nothing but a bottle of shampoo and a loofah, my dream job began. I was hooked from day one — it turned out to be my unexpected, hairy calling. After my GCSEs, I went on to complete my apprenticeship and qualified as a Level 2 dog groomer.

Having built my confidence, technique and gaining lots of experience in a professional salon, as well as gaining an understanding of different breeds and their unique personalities/needs I decided to set up my own business.

Woof, Wash & Trim is a really exciting chapter for me, and I absolutely love welcoming both new and familiar furry friends through the door.
